What is Letters Home?
Letters Home is an ongoing fantasy adventure told through letters from Drake, your perpetually distracted, occasionally melodramatic friend who has somehow managed to get himself sucked into another world.
Each letter catches you up on what he’s seen, who he’s met, what has tried to kill him (or more accurately, what has tried to EAT him), and whatever questionable decision led to his current predicament.
But here’s the fun part: Drake isn’t writing to some fictional character.
He’s writing to YOU!
YOUR NAME appears in the story. He talks to YOU like the friend who has somehow continued putting up with him despite the forgotten birthdays, abandoned college majors, and general inability to make decisions that promote long-term survival.
And these aren’t just letters you read on a screen (unless you get the digital version). They’re addressed to YOU. They’re sent to YOUR home. And they arrive in YOUR mailbox.
Because Drake may be trapped in another world... but apparently the postal service takes the whole “neither sleet nor snow” thing VERY seriously.
Wait?
You mean a real letter for reals?
Yep!
A real, honest-to-goodness letter that you can hold and touch and sniff and rub against your face (Wow! You really are a freak!)
Depending on which version you choose, Drake’s latest questionable adventure is printed on real handmade cotton paper, tucked into a handmade cotton-paper envelope, addressed to YOU, and sent directly to your home.
And because you and Drake are friends (obviously), your name isn’t just slapped on the envelope. It appears throughout the story because, you know, YOU are part of this whole thing.
So is the letter.
So is how it’s being sent to you.
So is every single aspect of this strange little adventure you’re about to go on with Drake.
